5 – 8 December Padstow Christmas Festival
More than 100 crafts folk and producers, 40 star chefs, and 45,000 visitors will celebrate what our town does best: food and drink. We like to showcase Padstow at its finest and this year is no exception. We’re hosting four jam-packed days of family entertainment, which you can discover more about here. 6 – 8 December The Lost Gardens of Heligan Christmas Fair
Held on Friday 6th December from 4pm to 8pm and both Saturday 7th and Sunday 8th December from 10am to 4pm. This festive event is a must in your Christmas calendar and gives you the opportunity to enjoy entry to the gardens together with the perfect opportunity to find some unique gifts.
7 December Polperro Christmas Market and Christmas Lights switch-on
The activities start around midday in Big Green where the village centre has a large Christmas Tree as the focal point of the celebrations. Activities include carol singing, seasonal drinks and food, festive music and carols. There will be a visit from Santa and lots to keep kids of all ages entertained.
7 December Looe Torch Light Procession & Lights Switch On
Christmas Fayre at Mount Edgcumbe
Back for the sixteenth year, and still fabulous! The fayre will run 10am to 5pm on Saturday and 10am to 4pm on Sunday. Admission: Adults £3 each, Children £1 each.
Dickensian Evening, Lostwithiel
On the second Thursday in December, Lostwithiel lights up with its Annual Dickensian Evening. The ever popular festive event has been running for 16 years. The streets are filled with crowds who come to enjoy the old fashioned traditional Christmas experience with a Victorian Theme. The evening officially starts at 6pm with a lantern parade down Fore St led by the Town Band and local choirs, this will meander through the town arriving back at the Church for a final song. Following on from 6.30pm we’ll have Choirs and bands all evening in the Church.
There will be further music, choirs and performances all over town throughout the evening keeping you entertained.
Shops in the town will be open late and shopkeepers dress up in Victorian garb, you’ll also find Vintage, Antiques, Craft and gift stalls in the Church Rooms and Drill Hall.For children there’s an old fashioned merry-go-round fairground ride sited in Parade Square and a traditional Santa’s grotto (with Santa in green robes rather than red!) is a must visit, look out for the secret entrance in Fore St.
There are plenty of refreshments available, with restaurants and cafes open all evening, lots of street food including a hog roast and hot chestnuts from the local YFC, wood fired Pizzas named especially for Dickensian evening, hot pots and festive sausages. Of course there’s lashings of mulled wine or mulled cider available too.
Once the festivities finish up around 9pm ish, the evening continues with live music and entertainment in local pubs and clubs.

15 Dec 6.30pm Mousehole Harbour Lights Switch On
The 2019 ‘switch-on’ will be held on Saturday 15th December 2019 at 6.30pm.
There will be an open-air Carolaire service at the entrance to the North Quay. The ‘Carolaire Choir’, comprising of the Mousehole Male Voice Choir, Members of the Mousehole Methodist Church and friends from the community together with the Pendeen Silver Band, will lead the community singing. This year the lights will be switched on by Reverend Julyan Drew. If wet weather, the Carolaire service will be held in Mousehole Methodist Church
